All About Us

Namekagon River Rollers is dedicated to teaching the sport of log rolling to youth in the Hayward WI area. Our school has a rich history, dating back to the late 1960's when local professionals got together to roll. Our school is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit program, and we are governed by a Board of Directors.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire and empower youth through the dynamic sport of log rolling. We are committed to providing structured and engaging lessons, fostering a sense of competition, and instilling valuable life skills. Our dedicated team of instructors, many of whom grew up log rolling, creates a supportive and inclusive environment for learners aged 4 to 16. Through the timeless art of log rolling, we aim to promote physical activity and personal growth, ensuring every participant enjoys a unique and enriching experience.

NAMEKAGON RIVER ROLL OFF TOURNAMENT

Each summer we sponsor a tournament for both professional and amateur log rollers and boom runners. Usually scheduled in July, this tournament is a great chance to compete at the Lumberjack Bowl.  This also makes it the perfect opportunity for students to get ready for the world championships and compete against other kids outside of our local club.  Our tournament is a two-day event, where boom run for amateur and professional is on Saturday, amateur and professional log rolling is all day Sunday. This is free and open to the public to watch. Link for athletes to register can be found on the USLRA Website.
