Lumberjack World Championships

As proud participants in the log rolling legacy of Hayward WI, Namekagon River Rollers share a special connection with the renowned Lumberjack World Championships (LWC). Established in 1967 alongside the inception of the log rolling school, the LWC, founded by Tony Wise, has been a pivotal event that draws athletes and enthusiasts alike. Our school has served as a training ground for numerous LWC competitors over the years, fostering a strong community of log rollers.

Each year, one week prior to the LWC, we host the "Namekagon River Roll Off," a thrilling log rolling tournament in Hayward. This event not only showcases the skills of amateur and professional log rollers but also serves as a prelude to the grand LWC. The High School art club, led by teacher Kelly Egger, contributes by crafting awards for the tournament, enhancing the sense of community involvement.

Join us as we celebrate this unique connection to the Lumberjack World Championships and experience the excitement of log rolling in Hayward, where the legacy continues to roll on!
